Welcome to me, again. It’s been weeks since I last posted; however, I’ve been shooting and editing with the intention of getting back on here. I chose this blog title because it’s a word and concept that has surrounded me lately. Synonyms for this word include: revitalize, restore and revive. It’s the perfect word to define my intentions this summer. But I find myself drifting away from this. I have to remind myself that I must revive both psychically, spiritually and emotionally. Although I have other plans, this is a priority. Without this, I cannot attempt to do things. But why do I feel as if I rest too much, I’m wasting time and losing opportunities that might be out there for me? I’m trying my best to get that thought out of my head.
See, I’m in the process of looking for a job. I tend to become obsessed with applications, phone calls, emails and even walk-ins. It’s funny, most of the jobs I’ve found…found me. Or, they just happen to appear when I’m not looking. But I would love to settle down and find a place that is not just a job, but a career. I studied journalism in college, and I taught journalism this past school year, which inspired me to go back to my roots.
I believe God led me there for a reason, and I have faith that He will lead me to the place, again. Therefore, revitalizing instead of “filling out an application” is not going to limit my opportunities. I just have to keep trying, even when I feel discouraged. I have to “keep on keepin’ on.” “Life’s a garden, DIG IT.”
Yes, these are cheesy quotes but they are actually making me feel better.
Here are some pictures I took wearing what looks like fall attire. But I love boots! I like to wear them throughout the year. I’ve been trying different editing tools and filters. I don’t have a set one. It depends on the mood of the pictures. Nevertheless, my intention was to bring out the cracks in the paint of the yellow stairs.
Until next time, have a wonderful week/weekend. Yes, I start wishing a happy weekend on Thursdays!
